Default Bleeding t56

Just got my car back together with a new engine. Fbody t56 with same clutch and everything from before. Has a Tick remote bleeder line and new clutch master. Isn’t sucking any fluid in. What gives? I’ve never had this much trouble with it before.

How are you bleeding it? With a speed bleeder it takes me about 5 min at most to get one solid.

that was my experience last time but this is also a new clutch master. I’m just filling the reservoir and cracking the fitting on the Tick speedbleeder.

Pumping the clutch pedal rapidly for about 50 rounds usually works for me, but the last time I had to put my power bleeder on the master and put some air pressure onto the top of the master to get it started. Worked great after that pushed some fluid down to the slave.

With a new Master I bench bleed it first, you can do that in the car too. Fill it, pump it up and get fluid to the Slave connection. Pedal gets firm push in the center pin with a screwdriver to bleed some fluid out, then connect to the Slave.

do you mean to disconnect the line and fill the reservoir than pump the clutch pedal?

what’s the easiest way to bench bleed?
I’ve read jacking the rear of the car can help?

I put MC in vice and use the braided line (my MC/line are McLeod) with a -6AN fitting to hose barb and a donor reservoir on the other end and fill the MC. Then slow short pumps until no more bubbles are in the donor reservoir. I use a vacuum hose nipple to keep fluid from coming out line while I connect it to the slave to install, then bleed with show pumps of pedal. Helps to have someone pump pedal while you are under car opening/closing bleeder.
