Default T56 to WC T5

I know there's been a lot of swaps to third Gen. I posted before about an AR5 swap and no luck so I just picked up a 89-92 WC T5 instead. Seemed easier. I'm having some confusion from other pages. But I'm seeing people say switch to third Gen pedals.
Basically I'm switching to a t5 and have everything but a t56. The t56 pedals, slave, and LT1 flywheel is on the car already.
I do need a crossmember but have the t5 driveshaft and torque arm bracket from the 3rd gen. I also have the slave from the t5. What all do I need for sure. Do I need to use the LT1 clutch or t5? Can I use the LT1 flywheel or need to go with the 305 1 piece rear main flywheel (I thought I couldnt cause of balance.) Would I use fork style or switch to hydraulic.
I'm looking for cheaper options as I didn't want to do the t56. Was trying. To stay under 1k for trans and the t56 alone was pushing 2k local.
I know redundant posts are made but it seems most of these guys are starting fresh and I'm just stating what I have already.
Appreciate the help

the T5 probably wont survive long behind the LT1

do you have the V8 camaro T5 (canted 18 degrees and with the 26 spline input), or do you have a V6 T5 with the 10-spline input?

I know I've heard the stories of the t5, just hoping to get t5 till I can get all the ar5 parts in and done. And it is the slanted V8 t5 26spline

good for 330 ft-lb max (they are rated at 300ft-lb or 410 Nm

they come apart with a built V6 if you side-step the clutch in a 2112# car, and barely held it together with the 180hp 305 they were behind in the 80's camaros at 3400#

i would focus on the AR5 as that is good for about 600 ft-lb of torque. however get a low mileage one, as a rebuild is about the cost of the transmission new.

So I got it done, I posted in the conversion threads to but anyone able to help on this also?

Shifts great. has the factory electric speedo sensor, I did rig the wires to see if itd hit but it only goes 5mph on speedo when I'm 55 on highways so I know it's not right.I know there's a difference beween the sine wave and square signals but I'm just confused on what I need.

What sensor would I need to use to get this right. Preferably not the high dollar conversion box. I also read something about removing the convertor box from the car. But Id like to find definitive answers.

And should I put a cable driven gear in the trans and use jegs sensor 105-5291? Is this the correct way?Any help appreciated, can rewire and repin any thing if that helps.

Appreciate ya all. Also the tires are 26.9 tall, 3.42 gears. I'm not concerned with tires as I may be going back to original size. Just getting me within 5mph would be great to start then adjust signal in ecm later

the old T5 used either 2 pulses per rev or 4 pulses per rev. some later ones used a lot more.

you cant swap an electric T5 to a mechanical easy. takes a bit of machine work.

good luck
