why not cartek?

Some say the cartech chatter.Mine was absolutely horrible on break in but is good that way now.Now chatter. It does seem to get grabby after driving it for awhile and this makes it hard to drive in slow or heavy traffic.I have to leave room to launch otherwise it can be a jerky experience.
As to holding it seems good.Only likely have around 350 rwhp right now.
It never smells which I like and it can be slipped.
The pedal pressure was much lower with the stock modified master.
If I could get the pedal pressure back down then would be fairly happy with the clutch. But the grabbiness gets a bit annoying too. That may also be worse now with nitto drag radials since think the normal tires spin a bit more on launch and help to make it smoother. Also going up to 3.73 or 4.10 gears helps too.I had them in for a bit but took them out due to terrible whine.
The stock 3.42 gears are not the best for launching the clutch smoothly.
I think cartech may have changed their disc since got my clutch.
I am interested in hearing from anyone who has the cartech clutch and mcleod master if their pedal pressure is insanely high.Mcleod recommends setting the master to just slip over the pedal when its at its max height from floor resting on stop. This works fine for getting my gears but makes the pressure very high.I was also wondering if taking off the return springs would help things out any.

My Cartek clutch held so well I broke my stock rear with only 383 RWHP. A buddy of mine has an 11.3 second LS1 with a Cartek, no issues. I know a couple other local guys that ran 10's/11's with their Cartek clutch. Why Cartek doesn't get more press on this board is beyond me. That 1998 Bright Green Metallic Z28 in GMHTP a few months ago went 10.69 @ 126 all motor, stock short block, 6 speed with a Cartek clutch and heads/cam from them. There aren't too many faster all motor, 6 speed cars with a stock short block...
