Default FYI - a new slave cylinder solved my shifting problems

Over the last couple months I've posted several times about my shifting problems. In short, I was having a hard time getting the car into any gear. Well I just wanted to let everyone know, in case your having the same problem, that I performed the drill mod and installed an '01 slave cylinder and the problem no longer exists. The car shifts perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

While the trans was down I inspected the clutch and flywheel. Both looked good so I decided not to replace them. I my regret this late, but I hope not.

Anyway, just wanted to share the solution to my shifting problem.

Later,

Jim

Glad to hear the new slave solved your problems. Isn't that master cylinder a pain in the *** to get out? I completely lost my patience trying to get that sucker back in there and the U-bolt in through the firewall.

I have an 01 WS6 and I'm having the same problem.....very notchy shifts in every gear which is also slowing down my shifting times.....maybe I should try a new master and slave before digging into the tranny.

That could potentially save you a lot of time and/or money.

FWIW, I have gotten into the habit of installing a new slave EVERY time I put in a new clutch.
