Speaking of strange noises.... I just purchased my 00 T/A, and despite it having small problems I got a great deal on it so I can't complain. Anyways - on to the problem I'm addressing currently.
The car is an M6 (clearly) and when I start it, it sounds as though the starter itself is grinding...almost like it's spinning TOO much. Anyways, we popped the hood to check it out, and low and behold, there's no noise from the bay. You CAN however almost feel it in the clutch pedal upon startup. So, I'm thinking input shaft or something, because when going into 1st gear (actually, ONLY 1st gear), upon clutch release the car vibrates ever so slightly. I own an LT1 as well and this NEVER happens with the M6 in that car, and so I want some input.
What could this be?
