Need help now please!
Need help now please! I was driving around the other day and I haerd something snap, later that night a piece of metal fell on my foot. Turns out it was my clutch return spring? Well I order the new spring, put it in and now when I give it gas my cluthc just slips!!! I can't even drive normally or my car will just rev up. Could the spring be in backwards? It seemed like it only went on one way. Its the spring that is right on top of the clutch pedal itself, if you guys don't know what I am talking about and it isn't called the clutch spring. But does anyone have a picture of how this thing is supposed to be in? I took the spring out and I could still push the clutch to the floor and it would come back everytime. I don't know what to do! I can't drive my car and its my daily driver! Please help!
Ok, I just took the spring out, and the car ran ok, the clutch gripped, I don't know what the spring is for if it ran ok. Is it alright to leave out and drive without it? I don't know what to do, I tried to flip the spring around, but there is no way it could fit in that way, so Im sure I had it in right, but why would it mess the clutch up that much? Someone please help!!!!!
Ok, well I guess I can be ok without it for now, I will try to put it back in later, I gues the other way around, there is really only two ways to how it can go. I know its not my clutch or anything, the car doesn't even have 25k miles yet, this damn spring sucks!
