Help clutch or trans problem

Help clutch or trans problem I just had the tranny rebuilt and a spec3i put in. Now sometimes it locks me out of 1st gear at a stop and when down shifting into 3rd it grinds. Is this a trans problem or clutch. Please help.

My car is doing similar to the same thing and i just got a new transmission put in thru dealer. Did you ever find out what happen? Let me now.
