Spec stage 3
Spec stage 3 Well, after 25-30 passes and a total of about 5000mi, my clutch is dead. This thing was unreal, I've never had a clutch grab like this one did. The funny thing about it is that I had NO warning that it was on its way out. I was in the middle of a street race and when I grabbed 3rd it just spun the clutch. I let off of it quickly, but it didn't help. Now it won't hold anything over 1/4 throttle. It feels almost as if when the pedal is all the way up its still not letting the clutch all the way out. Oh well, I've got a new Ram setup on the way; the 402 pp with a 910 series sintered iron disk. I've just got to get my AMS racing billet flywheel resurfaced and put the new setup in. Has anyone else had a problem like this with a spec clutch?
Mine has been in my car for 15-20K miles and is still kicking (racing on ET streets, and tons of hard street driving).
However, my friend did have a similar problem, although it was further down the road (15K miles or more). We were on our way to the track and it just let go (totally blown, wouldn't allow any movement forward or back). No real warning either.

What mods do you have? Were all those passes on 6K rpm dumps? I'd like to have more details on what the spec 3 can and can't take.
Like I said, it handled it like a champ. All passes were at a 5,000rpm launch running mid 11's. I wish I knew what happened, but it should have lasted a lot longer than it did.
