Default How can I tell?

I bought a used shifter from a user on this board and he said it was the hurst shifter. I put it in my car and it feels sooo much better than the factory z28 stick that I had.

I was looking for marking that would label it as an SLP or Hurst unit and I couldnt find anything. All I found were "X" and "Y" engraved on the top of the shifter base.

Anyone have any idea? I think its the stock hurst.

Also it came with the B&M Ripper Stick...will cutting the stick down help the shifts even more, or should I just keep it the way it is?

TIA

The Factory Hurst( I think its wher SLP gets them too) has a gold colored stamped steel base with no labeling. There are no external adjustable stops, also.Hust also sells a competition plus aftremarket shifter that does have Hurst labeling on a gold anodized aluminum base.

Does the Billet Plus have adjustable stops as well? I know the Pro 5.0 does.

The one I have does not.
