Default Flywheel Q?

When installing a new clutch is it necessary to install a new fly wheel or resurface the stock fly wheel, or can I just install a new clutch?

Well it will work but it will chatter for sure. Let me give you a piece of advice go turn your stock one it can be turned safely .015. And then install your new clutch and go. Cost around $35 here in Houston . Did one yesterday cost me $37. Good luck let me know if you need help.

Thanks, I'm trying to decide whether to get an alluminum flywheel or to keep the stock one for now. I figured I should get the stock flywheel resurfaced, but I wasn't sure if it was absolutely necessary.

You don't want to go with an aluminium unless you are doing road racing! You will lose all your inertia with out the extra weight and you won't be able to get out of the hole. Good luck!!!

I'm just gonna stay with the stock fly wheel. I'm not to into drag racing. I tried it , but all we have is stupid 1/8 mile tracks down here. The quarter mile track we have is probably shutting down. I've always been more into road racing anyways. That's why I was considering the alluminum one. Thanks for the input guys.
