After clutch install...
These are my questions:
1) My clutch has about 1 inch play at top b4 it disengages, and does engage when releasing the pedal until it is about halfway out. reused the old mc but put a new slave and used the cardboard spacer cause thats all I got with the kit.
2) Car shifts fine in all gears, but kinda feels notchy, if you know what I am saying. I do have a Pro-5.0 shifter, so I know that is probably part responsible for this.
3) How do you bleed thru the slave in car without getting fluid inside the bellhousing? When I get a ratchet on the valve sticking out the side of the tranny, and open it, the fluid has nowhere to go but down the vale itself and back into the bellhousing. A little comes out around the socket and ratchet, but just at first when its got the pressure of the pedal behind it. Also the pedal itself really doesn't have much pressure behind it. It really feels like a stock clutch. Its better than what it was before the install but still seems it should be a little stiffer. Thanks in advance.
It sounds like you main problem is air in the system.
Invest in a mityvac and bleed it that way - no fussing with the bleeder on the slave, just insert in the master bowl after you remove the top and black rubber expansion seal, pump a few times, wait for the air to be pulled out and you're done.
If you must bleed, then find an offset combination wrench and use the box end while you slip a hose over the tip of the bleeder.
