Clutch help needed
Clutch help needed Ok my car is now making 407 rwhp. At the track on Nitto DR's it runs a 12.8@113 with a lot of wheelspin on the street nights with no track prep. So I went up to the track on the test & tune day with full track prep. I launched the car at 3500 and the tach jumped to 5500 and the gently accelerated thru 1st and 2nd. when the run was over the stank of clutch. Now the car has a McCloud single disk clutch with the organic/kevlar disk, and their M/C. I thought this would hold this power, but it looks like it won't. After it cooled down I did run some 13.1's at 113 but that is way slow for 113mph.
What clutch should I run? Is this one just shot, or do I need something more aggressive.
I still have a built 10bolt in the car and I thought that would be the 1st thing to break.
