Has anyone ever seen this?
The motor made 525RWHP on a 125 shot last fall before the Street twin install. Anyway, I put the S/T in last fall and did the 500 mile break in before I raced it last November. I think I made 3 passes (1 motor pass, and two 200shot nitrous passes). The clutch did great (1.48 60ft. times) but the trans was just not up to the task and it would not let me shift worth a crap so I called it a night.
I left the country in January and came back in April. The car sat in the garage the whole time. Since I have been back, I have only driven the car to and from work and have not raced it since. Last week something broke on the car at a stop light when I tried to put the car in gear.
After talking to Red at McLeod, he thought it had to be the hydraulic system. So I drained the system and even replaced the slave cylinder. Didnt fix it. A few days later I dropped the trans and noticed my input shaft was chewed up. I looked up into the clutch (which was still installed) and noticed all the teeth on the furthest aft clutch disc (the portion that rides the input shaft) were GONE!!! and the clutch disc closest to the block still had all its teeth but, they were looking extremely sharp looking (almost knife edged).
I havent been able to get in touch with Red since then between the hours I work and such.
But I was just curious if anyone has heard of this happening before on ANY dual clutch type setup.
Thanks,
Jeff
