I used to have SPEC stage 3 and i broke it twice. Then went with Mcloed and it did good until i put he SC and went to the track last Friday. The Mcloed is alot better than the SPEC 3 Carbon/Carbon, but it just didnt like a hard launch with 548rwhp on a 3800lbs car. It started slipping at the track after getting me a 1.78 60ft on Nittos. The weird thing about the Mcloed is that after letting it cool down it started biting again like crazy. I can spin my tires on the streets now until 3rd gear which shows how much the Mcleod is biting. The only problem is that it cant hold all this power and weight on a hard launch with no tire spin.
Now after searching really hard... I found out that SPEC, Mcloed, RAM, Exedy did bite the dust on cars making less than 600rwhp which is really dissapointing. I have spent alot of money buying and changing these damn clutches every 6 months or so. The only clutch i have seen that is holding 800rwhp+ on a 3800lbs car is the STAR stage 4 Ceramic which Mighty Mouse runs now. Anyone else running this clutch? Also who out there like their clutch? It just turning out that everyone is complaining about their clutches breaking or slipping nowadays.... Where are the good quality clutches gone?
