How bad is it to...

Hey guys,

How tough are these T56 trans? I just bought a 2002 M6 and I have grinded 2nd and 3rd ONCE!!

Do I have anything to worry about or can I grind em' a little more?

It was definately my fault, I thought I was in gear when I let off the clutch in both cases. I am still getting use to the new car.

They will take some but every time diminishes the synchro teeth a little more.This is never a good thing( clash shifting)

Obviously, the wear and tear isn't going to be a good thing and over time can start bending things...

Thanks guys, I feel better now. I think I get over anxious and stop paying attention to my shifts and well you know what happens next - it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end when I hear that grinding noise.
