Noisy clutch...

Well i've got a 2001 WS6 and just last week i noticed some noise coming from underneath the car. I only get this clanging sound when the clutch is to the floor. I hear metal, like something is loose. When i shift i get a little "errrr." She runs fine, shifts fine, clutch feels fine. I thought I would post and let you guys and gals give me your best ideas. Thanks for your help...

Well sounds like a throw out bearing is going south. Another possibility is the pilot bearing, bit the first is much more common.

Mine was doing something similar to that a while back...turned out to be the pilot bearing. The teeth on it were ground down pretty bad, it was almost completely gone.
