Converting to manual from automatic I have a stock 2002 Camaro Z28 that I am preparing for some upgrades. One thing I would like to do is swap out the automatic transmission for a manual. I am guessing that aside from the transmission, I will need a new mount, pedal cluster and possibly a new power brake booster. When it comes to transmissions, I dont know a whole lot, so I would like to get some opinions to consider. Has anyone done this conversion before and have some reference material for me to look at? Would it be better to try and find a donor car, or buy all of the extra parts seperatly? Do you think it would be better to just stick with the existing automatic and upgrade it somehow? I just want to know what Im in for before I get started. Thanks, and I appreciate the help.
