Default Are Gear Sets Interchangeable

I was wanting to put the m29 Gearset into my vettes t56, is that possible?

if by m29 you mean the tri-cone synchro set from a GTO, yes it will fit in your vette. Actually it is the same as the Z06 set.

by m29 i mean the gearset form a 93 TA with the .67 6th gear.

No that gearset has a 3.36 1st ratio (and the 6th is actually.62 - there were no t56s with a .67 6th) It will not fit because of the synchronizer differences and the input gear face width is narrower and a different cutting ( ratio) than the std. C5. If you have a Z06 T56 the ratio is the same but the issues with the face width and synchronizer remain.

Close, but you forgot that there are 2 different 93 T56's. An M28 and an M29.

A=94-97 T56 (MN6?)
B=93 M29 T56
C=93 M28 T56

BTW I did not forget anything. Those early units both have the same interchagneability problems.
