Hey everyone, i was just wondering if anyone has had their 6 speed tranny rebuilt and how much they paid for it? I recently had mine done and im looking to see if they charged what most everyone else does. thanks

It really depends on what parts are replaced. My first rebuild was a little under 1700. My second rebuild was only 750. Most of the shops charge about 250 for labor plus the cost of the parts replaced.

I had mine rebuilt by bugsquasher and it was only $75, i'm sure a shop would charge more. Parts were 1300 but my transmission was unusually messed up for some reason. Most people don't need hard parts, just the $150 rebuild kit.

the dealership rebuilt mine under warranty, shift forks, synchronizers, blocker rings, pads, on my receipt it totalled to right around $2000. i was shocked, but oh well i didnt pay for it :-P
