Default Quick connect wont connect

I just finished putting the motor and tranny back together, then installed it in the car. When I went to put the quick connect for the slave back together, it wouldn't connect. It's like pressing 2 pieces of steel together, there is no give on either side. I installed a new SPEC 3 along with the master shim at the time of install, but I doubt that has anything to do with the connector going together. Any idea's?

I had the same problem on my last r&r. I found a good way to get them back together. Put master fitting end in position on slave connector, and then take a open end wrench just big enough to go over the male -slave end around the hose, and I took a hammer end or somthing to place up in the tunnel end and use the wrench as a lever-leverage to push it in and over come the internal pressure with in the units. worked great for me.
Dont try and stick anything in the connector ends to bleed the pressuer, will take a change of causeing damage.

Be careful though, 'cause if you break it, you have to order the whole thing again. All it should need is a little coercing!

Alright, I just needed some second opinions before I tried to "make" it go. Thanks.

Default Part # 704016 Help Brake and clutch Bushings.

I had the same problem you have. I was able to disconnect it by using a set of brake and clutch bushings. Please see link below for details.

I'm not trying to disconnect it, I'm trying to put it back together. It has been apart for a long time, and the tranny side has built alot of pressure therfore not allowing me to easily put it back together.

I've heard of people having to loosen the bleeder screw to get it to connect, but i've never done that.
