Default Spec stage 4?

I know a bunch of you guys are having alot of luck with the new Spec stage 4 clutches. However which one are you using? I've heard of the 4i, 4x or just plane 4. do you need an adjustable master If you use a brand new flywheel and how is the pedal effort in everyday driving? Thanks!

I have nor finished breaking mine in yet but here is what I know. I went from a 3x to a 4F. The 4F is better for street driving. It did not chatter from day one. I like the way it acts on the street a lot better that the S3. It seems like it will hold all I can throw at it, at least for a while. I have taken the car to about 5K a few times and it bites hard.

I have abour 350 miles on it now and will be able to give you a better answer in about 5 weeks, provided the weather here gets nice. I will beat the snot out of it at the track. 6K off the 2 step.

Thanks for the reply Steve. What does the "F" stand for? Also are using the factory hydraulics or do you have an adjustable master? I'm looking for something to replace my Exedy-if the spec can handle the weight of your car it should be able to live my "light" Z06. Keep me posted on the results-thanks!

F is the full faced disk. It is all kevlar. It is not the puck design like the x pads. No springs in the center hub either.

It is a very nice clutch, I highly recommend it. I have the 4F with their billet flywheel. Some pics on are my website in the performance section.
