Default Starting problems and clutch switch

ok recently ive been having problems with my car not starting until i let off the clutch and push down again harder then it starts. seems like the clutch switch or neutral safety switch whatever you call it is going bad. anyone experience this? i havent looked at it yet, im going to be doing a clutch swap real soon here so i figured i would wait til then. im thinking it either needs to be adjusted or i need a new one. anyone have a part number? all info welcome.

Sounds like the neutral safety switch is on it's way out.

I had it go bad when I had my 96 Z28. It's not hard to replace and the part should be no more than $30-$40.

Does anyone have a "working" part number for this switch? Auto Zone and O'Riley couldn't find the part for me. Mine is marked 10293267 and I did a search on that number, but (for the most part) only this forum came back. The number doesn't work on AutoPartsGIANT.com GMPartsDirect.com or RockAuto.com I would hate to pay GM $30 for a $10 part...

I'm looking for the switch down by the clutch pedal, kind of like the brake light switch. https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...7&d=1197512069 not the "neutral safety switch" by the shifter that makes sure you are in park or neutral on an automatic.
