Tranny l;ocked into 4th gear!!!!!!!!
What could be wrong ???
(has beend really notchy when shifting and jumps out of 3erd for a while)
What all do I need to replace and with what??
so I do not have to do this again.
and make it go into gear at 6700 rpm's
I have heard that after market ones can't over shift it and break the tranny like this one can?????is this true
You will need to take a good look at the engagement teeth on the third gear and the slider ring on the 3-4 synchro to see if they are worn. If so these will need to be replaced to stop the tranny from jumping out of 3rd.
As far as smooth shifting at high rom mostly has to do with a clean quick clutch disengagement. If the clutch is not completly disengaged, it will grind at WOT. Fresh blocker rings will probably help also.
The tranny has a internal shift stops, so overtravel should not be an issue
