Default bleeding nightmare

Tried with a friend to bleed the clutch for about 45 mins. When we first started the pedal was stiff. After two pumps it went to the floor. Have been able to get a little fluid out of it, but not much, barely lowers the level in the resivoir.

Master and slave were swapped out, turns out the 4 week old slave took a dump.

Any ideas on how to get the clutch system to bleed correctly?

Maybe try gravity bleeding it for a while first. Then pump and turn the bleeder valve, tighten, repeat.

A mighty vac is the best idea. But if you wanna try this, open the bleeder. Have helper push down on pedal slowly by hand. Have them call out when it is almost at the end of travel & close the bleeder at this point. Repeat it should force some air down out of the master.

We tried that, but the clutch pedal stuck to the floor and we had to manually pull it up.......is that normal? It of course sucked some fluid down out of the resevoir. Was it normal for the pedal to be sucked to the floor?

It's stuck to the floor because there is not enough fluid backpressure to push the pedal back up because there is still air in the master you should trust me and do the mityvac it will only take 5 min.

In the package, you should have some hoses, and some different sized "tips" that go on the end of the hose. There are a few cone shaped tips, put it on the end of the hose, take off the master cylinder cap, and stick the tip of the mityvac into the hole at the bottom of the master cylinder. Be sure to have some fluid in the mityvac line before you start pumping so you won't get air in the system when you release the pressure. Once you have the tip in the hole, make sure you have a good seal at the bottom, (pushing the tip into the hole should be enough) then start pumping the mityvac. You will see some bubbles get sucked into the line, this is the air you're trying to get out of the system. Keep the mityvac pressure at about 20-25 until you don't see anymore bubbles getting sucked out (could take a while). After the bubbles stop coming out, you're done. Release the pressure from the mityvac, and tighten the master cylinder cap. You can also repeat this a few days later, or after driving the car around for a while since this will knock some air pockets around in the system. Hope this helps.

Yes, the resevoir. Search for Buschman's method of clutch bleeding. He also made up a slave sim from parts of an old slave cylinder so he could pull a vaccum toward the slave cylinder fitting.
Just realized I saved the link the last time I looked at it:

Its easier if you get the cup that comes with the mityvac and there will be a lid for the cup that has two opeinings on it where you can stick the hoses that come with the mityvac. Stick one hose to the mityvac connect the end to the lid and connect the other hose the the other side of the lid going to the resovar but use the little cones that come with the kit to stick in the hole of the resovar and pump the mityvac and you will see little air bubbles come up leave it for a couple of minutes and your set.
