Help with shifter???????come on in Ok locked tranny in forth.......rebuilt tranny (steel 3-4 fork, billet sliderkeys) got a new clutch for the car to I have the FACTORY HURST SHIFTER with a lou's short stick..........WILL THIS HURT THE TRANNY or is the over shifting thing ture whit this and what shifters offer shift stops....................I have herd both that the t56 has internal stops and that shifter does not matter and that GET A NEW SHIFTER cause you will be doing it all again if not?????????????????????????????
With the aluminum fork, the fork wears to limit / add travel. Stuck in gear/ jumpout of gear (3rd and4th) were the results.The iron fork will not wear in the same way.You have solved this problem. The T56 limits travel in the guide plate( cannot shift beyond the limits) There is no need for stops.
