Default Spec Stage II Question

As my last clutch was wearing down, it was engaging almost imediately after taking it off the floor. Now that I have put in the new clutch, at first it was very firm and would not engage untill 8-10' off the floor but after only a couple of weeks of driving on it, it feels like the old stock clutch. Is that normal for the clutch to engage almost right off the floor? Let me know what you guys think, this is my first after market clutch. Thanks in advance.

During the break in period with my spec 3 it felt very firm and engaged just off the floor. Then after the 1st wot run the clutch felt much softer and would engage mid pedal travel.....it lasted 25,000miles! Mostly street racing on DR's with about 60 1/4mile passes on the DR's though......i do realize you have the spec 2 but just figured the spec 3 is built the same but holds more HP. Hope this helps calm your nerves.

Hey red what clutch you running now?

ohhh i've had my SPEC stage 3 with about 4500 mile and no problems yet. A little chatter once in a great while, but all in all i love it. . . . My old clutch (original) was so bad i couldn't chirp 3rd, now the SS barks 4th so I'm pretty damn happy. . . .

i was going to go w/ the s2, but the guys at spec said if you ever plan on putting some power in the car, if you spin that clutch once it will glaze over, he talked me into the s3, and i love it, once its broke it u can drive just as smooth as stock w/ some finess, there will be some slight chatter in 1st if u dont give it enough power, all in all the clutch is great and i wouldnt even mess with a stage 2 now, took 3-4 days for me to get used to, and i have never owned a manual before this so its for easy for a daily driver, my guess is you beat the s2 a little to hard, also, when you do the install, drill ot the restrictor on the hydro line, the clutch will feel like butter, friends get in my car and push the pedal in, and the just smile, it grabs on the last 3-4" of the pedal so u can shift quit fast
