Default Short throw

What is a good short throw shifter? I dont want something real huge, I want something closer to the shift boot, I dont like the real tall ones.

The Pro 5.0 with Lou's short stick is what I got and love it.It's the shortest they sell. You can cut your own shorter

Pro 5.0 is my favorite. Even without a short stick, the Pro 5.0 right out of the box feels great.

Michael is actually shortens the distance between shifts......like taken a long stick on an axis and movin it the shortening it up and it actually shortens the distance that u have to move the *** and all on the shifter...really makes a difference once u play with one after stock in my opinion.

The Pro-5.0 features new patented shifter technology with a guaranteed "No Miss" 2 - 3 Shift Pattern! Manufactured from superior quality billet materials.
How exactly does this work? any explanation would be great.

I am by no means an expert on this bro, but i am being pumed knowledge about this stuff right now as i am switching to manual. Anyway, that technology, if you want to call it that, is some kind of "ratchet" system. In conventional shifters there is some side-to-side movement when shifting from 2nd to 3rd and so on...this eliminates that, by once you are in 2nd, the pulling down motion activates like a little directional lever (almost like the ones on the toy train tracks to make the train go onto a different track) that forces the next shift to 3...no side to side movement...making it impossible to "miss a shift." Guys correct me if i'm wrong, but that was the info i was given. And hell, if it's not correct, it sounded good right?! Hope that helps.

I have heard some negative feedback on the Pro 5.0, so I chose not to get it. I used to have the B&M Ripper. Personally, I didn't like it. Throw is still too long, and I didn't like the feel. I just bought the Aftermarket Hurst, and the WS6 Store short stick. It (the WS6 Store short stick) is about half the price (when the free shipping is factored in) of the Lou's and I have heard only good things about them. . .(I mean really, how much difference can there be in that part of the shifter). The WS6 Store unit is 6" long, with the option for longer if you don't wanna go that short.

Oh, and also the WS6 Store offers a special on the short stick + a shifter (hurst, pro 5.0, or slp). I bought my Hurst, then the short stick, and am kicking myself because their combo costs what just the Hurst or Pro 5.0 costs from anywhere else.

Maybe they had the older units. I have the re-designed 2-3 NO-MISS , and this thing is great.I power shift at 6800-7000 with no fear of missing a gear
