Clutch Problems.

Clutch Problems. I drive a 2002 Trans Am WS6 m6 with 4500 miles.
I am having problems with my z06 clutch. My 1st gear shakes really bad when moving from a dead stop. Also, am I not supposed to light the tires if I floor it in 1st? I can't even chirp my tires. I drove at around 40mph, shifted in 6th gear, floored it, and it did not slip. I took it to the stealership and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. They told me to replace the clutch as an easy/expensive fix. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
