trans removal ok, im having my tranny rebuilt by a local shop but the want an outrageous labor fee to remove it so im goin to remove it myself. ive searched and gathered little bits of information butnever found exactly all of it . i know that you gotta remove the driveshaft , mount, and there are 8 bolts on the bellhousing, what else am i missing.

Yeah go to the clutch install on installunirversity, taking the tranny out really is not that hard, only thing that is a little hard is the two top tranny bolts, what I like to do is keep connecting extensions until they reach the hole where the shifter was before you took it off, then hook the ratchet to it from there and get the bolts out, for those two you may need some help. its really easy if somebody can be on the bottom holding the extension in place while the top guy hooks in ratchet and loosens.
