ws6 store short stick

ws6 store short stick I have nothing else done to my car but the short stick. I go for a drive and it sounds like a whistling noise coming from shifter area, anyone else hear this after install?
I am not familiar with a "short stick", but if it is aftermarket it is a solid stick versus the factory one which has a rubber isolator in it. The whistling is likely normal trans gear whine, which the rubber isolator muted. Now that you have a solid stick you can hear the noise. I would not worry about it. Hell, on my ripper shifter I can even hear the synchros whine when I shift.
