Help, Clutch disengagement problems
Help, Clutch disengagement problems Hey guys
I just recently began swapping from a 4l60e to a M6 here the last week. I just buttoned everything up. The kit I purchased came with what I think was a used spec stage 1 clutch and pressure plate. I installed a new slave cylinder and master cylinder and bled the system completely. Now for my problem.. The pedal feels pretty good but when I start the car and go to put it in gear.. NOTHING. It won't go into gear, feels like the clutch isn't disengaging at all. I know a friend who installed a spec stage 3 and he had to shim his.. There was no shim in my kit.. Is it maybe that the 1 and 2 require shims also?? Please help guys, I need my car fixed ASAP

You definately need to shim it. I have mine shimmed a little and we are pulling the tranny and shimming it more this weekend b/c sometimes it wont allow me into 1st and the gears are all notchy.

Um... not sure, I'd contact Spec. they have wonderful customer service.
