break in peroid
so i'd say put about 400 on it at least, and then only drive it hard enough to shift it a couple times, then be easy on it a little while longer. i think break in happens to be a slightly over-emphasized thing because i've seen some people break in their clutch perfectly and get only 2k miles out of it. other times i've seen people put 20 miles on the clutch for a break in and still get 25k out of the clutch (and yes, i'm referring to spec clutches).
but it made me personally feel better to granny-drive my car for 430 miles. it's difficult to say if 430 is enough, or if 2000 is even enough. but you aren't gonna drive the car like your grandma for the rest of it's life, so you have to play a little guessing game with the break in. all clutches are different, and that includes their break in time as well.
