Heres a thinker!! Calling all experts Ok gents ready? As some of you know I'm building a mutt. 99 Cadillac Seville STS Northstar motor and a 02 Camaro SS T56 M6.
I was reading info on the throw out bearing info and looking at pressure plate / clutch pictures/info in the lovely search option.
The dealer nor the parts stores will let me order in a clutch setup to open and compare/take pics of it.
I have a custom made Northstar manual flywheel. I also just picked up, what i though is a mini LS1 clutch setup, to fit the smaller diameter flywheel.
The N* flywheel is 12.1 to the edge/edge of the ringgear. I picked up a 2000 gen camaro 5 speed clutch and pressure plate 9 13/16"?. bolts line up and plate fits
OKOK im looking to put the camaro 5 speed clutch (26 spline) on the 02 trans and TO bearing.
HELP, what do you think will give me my most problems.
Also: I kept the stock LS1 6" bell length. Hypothetically i should be ok with distance/travel space if my flywheel is the same offset/thickness as the stock LS1 flywheel, right?

i dont know anything about northstar motors but i do know that an ls1 traany is unique to the ls1 engine, the crank is recessed but i dont remember the number of the top of my head plus the ls1 traanies had a longer input shaft to accomidate this and the input mounted slave
im not sure if your clutch will work or not but if im reading stuff right i think your gonna run into tranny issuesa dn not clutch issuse, or maybe you will run into clutch issues because of the tranny being different

but it doesnt bolt up to the T56. I made mine from scratch using 1/4" thick bar stock aluminum tho
