Did it make the noise before you swapped the slave?
It's probably the throw out bearing on the front of the slave that is making the noise. The throw out bearing is a seperate part that mounts on the front of the slave. It comes with the slave when you buy a new one.

I had the same noise before the swap. The tranny was rebuilt about a year ago by the dealership under warranty. The bearing was also replaced a week ago when the clutch and everything else was installed.
If it did it before the new slave and throw out bearing I would be more suspect of the tranny bearings, maybe the input shaft bearings.
I would also check the tranny fluid to make sure it's at the proper level. Low fluid will make the tranny noisy.
