pro 5.0 centering fix problems

I tried to fix my weak centering springs with the bolt trick. I cut the bolts down and but thea heads on top of the springs. Then I put the top back on. It was a real bitch to tighten the bolts down. I finally got it all the way down. The centering springs worked great. But then I noticed I lost reverse. I could no longer use reverse. What can i do? I just took them out and deal with the centering springs being weak. But it still bothers me and I would like to have it work perfect.

you did not cut the bolt enough and the lil post is hitting the end of the bolt before getting all the way over to the right

i am having a problem throwing my 5.0 into reverse. My mechanic said he didnt adjust it at all.

Can you adjust it? What do you have to do to adjust it?

You can only adjust the stops. If you read, he put extra pieces of metal to make the springs stiffer. They were too long and not letting the spring travel
