Default Bleeding the Slave cylinder

The problem I have been having with my clutch is actually the slave cylinder. When I unbolted the slave the srping and the throwout bearing fell apart. Not to mention there was break fluid seeping in from the bellhousing and tranny. (the crack between the bellhousing and tranny). So bought the slave but according to the instructions I have to pump the pedal a certain amount of times, then hold it down, and slowly release the bleed screw for the slave after the tranny is installed.

Now is the bleed screw the copper spigot looking thing above the hydraulic line connection and if it is where is the screw? It says to use a socket wrench which I tested (7/8) but I could not get it to turn either way. (Slave is going in tommorow)

I am a little confused. Any advice from personal experience?

You can use a 7/16 socket to open the bleeder valve. There is no real screw. Yes it is the spigot looking thing. You just loosen the end not the whole thing.

If it is a brand new slave, I understand they come pre-bled.

Pre bled huh. SO I just poor in the brake fluid and pump the clutch. How do you get the hydraulic line disconnected. Do you need a special tool, is what I really want to know so I don't break it.

No special too is needed. Just need two flathead screwdrivers (one on each side) to push in the white plastic piece all the way in at the quick disconnect and seperate the master from the slave.

Just borrow or buy a MityVac. The last master cylinder I replaced was a PITA to bleed until I used the MityVac. Didn't have to crawl under car or get out a wrench. Just put the suction cup looking fitting on the end of the MityVac, submerse it in the master cylinder resevoir so it seals against the bottom. Apply pressure and release it several times until the bubbles stop. Have someone pump the clutch a few times with the vaccum applied also.
