Default Clutch pedal on the floor...please help!

Ok, so what happened was I was at the track and when I crossed the finish line I realized the clutch pedal was pretty much stuck on the floor. I was able to drive it home, but it wasn’t easy at all! To get the car in first or reverse, I need to shut the car off completely. I could barely get the car in any gear because it’s just really physically hard. There is no grinding noise; it’s just hard to get it in.

Is this a hydraulic issue with the master or slave cylinder?

Could it be the clutch even though I was able to drive it home?

If it is the clutch I need opinions on what clutch to get. I’ve been recommended to get a stage 2 since I have 350 rwhp (average cam, catback, lid and air filter). I just got headers and haven’t put them in yet so I need help deciding what to get.

Does a full exhaust and an average cam warrant a SPEC stage 3?

I’d prefer the car not rattle like crazy because I have a high end clutch with only around 380ish rwhp. Please help!

ok, first off. i have a v6 camaro, so im not 100% sure if its the same. but when i bought my car ( wrecked, im 14 and want something to work on till im 16 ) the clutch was stuck to the floor, i could start the car, but there was NO pressure on the clutch at all. i couldnt shift or drive it at all. turned out to be the clutch master cylinder. put a new one in and bled the lines and now its perfect. is it leaking fluid? could be a hole in the line. could be air in the line. first thing to do is bleed the line and see if there was just air in the lines.you said you drove it home, my car wasnt drive-able at all. do you have pressure? my clutch when you picked it up off the floor it would stay up, but i was able to push it down with one finger.you also said it was hard to get into gear, mine wouldnt even go in to a gear, but then again im sure im not as strong as you. and i didnt want to make matters worse by forceing it into gear. keep me updated and ill try to help.

I actually just called Texas Speed to possibly buy a new clutch and they told me to just pull the pedal out and it should be fine. That is some really good customer service! I probably could have been convinced that I needed a new clutch or master cylinder. He told me the hydraulics on these cars can just do that if the lines heat up enough. It was definitely a really hot day!! Big thanks to Texas Speed cause all I did was pull the pedal out and it was working. I think I might upgrade the hydraulics so this won’t happen again.

If someone reads this and they have a pedal stuck on the floor, just try and pull it out. The lines could have just gotten really hot.

Thanks again Texas Speed!

That's what I've heard = (

What's a good master cylinder to use as a replacement? I've heard that the McCleod master is nothing but trouble. I saw in another post to call Futral Motorsports and get one of Allan's setups.

Any thoughts?

I have the same prob. When I took a look at the tranny clutch fluid was seeping in between the bell housing and tranny. I replaced the clutch slave but I am still having trouble bleeding it. I might have to replace the master.
