Here's one for you gurus...
Here's one for you gurus... went to the tracks last night for the first time. When I shift my car past 6k from second to third, it like goes into third but theres nothing there. I can let out the clutch and its like its in neutral. The kicker is is that my buddy watchin my run says my reverse lights are coming on. 
But I know its not in reverse. Its right there in third. I let off the gas pull it back a lil push it right back and theres third. I have no idea whats going on but its definately hurting me.
Any ideas?????

2000 its probably aluminum. i'd say its internal. maybe shift fork, shift fork bushing, shift rail, or mainshaft pilot bearing. just a guess, though. the tranny will have to come apart if its to bad for you to live with.
