Default T-56 spitting up

Went on a road trip this weekend and had got on it a little on an open stretch of road and when it was all over I noticed some tranny fluid inside the car on the center console like in the area betwene the park brake, and the cig lighter. It was also some on my passenger seat. Has anyone else ever experienced this. This worries me. My tranny is also running a little warmer than usuall, the aluminum shift **** gets uncomfortably hot.

I've seen turbo 350 trannies build up so much pressure that they would blow out the rear seal. Never heard of a t-56 spitting out fluid like that. How hard did you say you were driving it?

I suspect an aftermarket shifter and not boot. They do little to seal the shifter"box" You should fashion a boot to cover the shifter.

I ran it up to 150 and im using a stock hurst with a short stick. Although I dont use the stock boot that goes directly over the shifter, and I have a modified boot that screws down to the tranny tunnel.

What I suspect is you have fashioned the body boot( attached to the floor) to fit around the collar of the shifter. This leaves the pivot shpere of the shifter and the inner workings open to the cabin. Not only does this allow noise transmission, as wear to the shifter occurrs, oil can "spit-up". The top of the shifter nees a boot , just like the std shifter had(can modify it to fit)
Also be sure you have not overfilled the unit.
