If you're only getting the problem from 1->2 and it shifts smoothly elsewhere it could be synchros and you could also have a bent shift fork. If you can get away with it try and keep driving on it to a minimum till you figure it out. If not, I'd shift 1->3. Do your best to rev match the gears when shifting too. The quickest way to make a cheap transmission problem an expensive one is to keep driving on it.
