grind into second
grind into second it dosent happen often but somtimes when i shift from 1-2 ill get a small grind..the car goes into gear fine like i dont have to force it but it will grind somtimes..and i know the clutch is out because ive done it a few times making sure my foot was all the way down..can anyone help..also in third thes a slight rattle soind when accelerating through about 2800 to 3500 rpms
Rattle you're hearing could be a few things. Warped/worn pressure plate/friction disc (causing clutch chatter) , throw out bearing going, pilot bearing going. Even with your foot all the way down on the clutch peddle, there are a lot of things that could cause a clutch not to disengage properly.
If you're only getting the problem from 1->2 and it shifts smoothly elsewhere it could be synchros and you could also have a bent shift fork. If you can get away with it try and keep driving on it to a minimum till you figure it out. If not, I'd shift 1->3. Do your best to rev match the gears when shifting too. The quickest way to make a cheap transmission problem an expensive one is to keep driving on it.
How many miles on the current clutch and how do you normally drive it?

I have the same problem. Mine slightly grinds from 1st to 2nd when cold and from 3 rd to 4th also. After it warms up and i drive normal it is fine. When i romp down on it in 1st gear and go to switch to second it grinds again but is ok from there on. Any ideas on what to look for. I have checked the fluid level and it seems fine. Also i dont feel anything different when i press the pedal down or hear any noises. The clutch doesnt seem to be slipping either??????????????thanks
