Default Grinding fourth on downshift...Help!

Just about everytime I downshift into fourth at about 45 or 50 I get a horrible grind. Not just a small thing, I'm talking it won't go in gear unless you yank right through the grind. It has gotten progressively worse for about 3 months. My clutch is going bad and has been for some time now. Could that be it? I think it's more like synchros. If it were the clutch, wouldn't I be getting grind in other gears as well? I have taken it to the dealer and they of course can't duplicate the problem. I think if I take it back now I can definitely duplicate it for them.

So I guess what I'm really asking is synchros or clutch? Thanks,
Jay

Same thing is happening to my tranny. Its not my clutch either, as I just installed a Cartek (and it IS adjusted). I'm thinking it might *gasp* be a bent shift fork. I let a friend drive my car, and he powershifted the **** outa it on my stock shifter (no shift-stops). Do you have the stock shifter and do you powershift at all?

I have a b&M Ripper and I have been known to power shift once in a while . But if you bend the fork shouldn't it be jumping out of gear? Isn't there a TSB on the 99's for something like that?

By the way how do you like the Cartek setup? Mine is sitting on the livingroom floor waiting to go in.

Mine never jumped out of gear(3rd). As long as I wasn't going fast it wouldn't grind but the faster I went when I down-shifted the worse it was.

I love my Cartek. I'm sure I will love it even more when I install my 12bolt and slicks soon.
