diagnose a bad slave?

Default diagnose a bad slave?

is there anyway to do it b4 i hook up my mcleod master?? i just spent damn near 1-1/2 bench bleeding this thing AGAIN and i dont want to suck air back into it if the slaves bad.

If you cannot push the pedal down w/ the master hose disconnected from the slave, the master must be sealing & sound.
If your pulling the trans put a new slave in, cheap insurance.
A mighty vac does help alot in bleeding these also.

it is a new slave but this is the 3rd time ive had the master out bleeding it and each time i hookit back up its gone.

The McLeods have been problem plagued, it is all over in the threads in here. I had many problems w/mine also. Until I rebuilt it w/ an overhaul kit & honed the **** out of the bore w/a wheel cylinder hone w/lots of brake fluid.
It has been very reliable & consistant since.
I still recommend a mighty vac to bleed with, it will eliminate the possibility of the system injesting air during bleeding.
If your manually bleeding, try opening the bleeder, then pressing pedal down & closing bleeder in mid-stream.
Repeately do that & see if pedal improves.
