M6 tranny question
Also, I am waiting on an adjustable master cylinder to come in. Jason is going to install it.
Shifting is real rough on this trans for some reason. It is a rebuilt tranny. Will the adjustable master clear all this up? Anyone ever heard of this stuff?
Thanks
Chris
Rebuilt trannys tend to shift a little stiff until you put some miles on them, try not to abuse it while it is breaking in. My rebuilt ones always felt a little notchy for the first few thousand miles.
An adjustable master is a necessity with ANY clutch in my opinion.

Squeal is most likely your throw out bearing. Its attached to the slave.

So does that mean my throwout bearing is bad? Jason installed the new one that came with the clutch...
BTW thanks for the reply!
Chris
All gears are equally notchy. When I have the shifter in neutral, and slide it directly left, when it attempts to re-center itself it pauses like it catches on something. It was really bad the first time I took it off their lot. I had them install one of my old McLeod shims to get it driveable. Seems to me when I had the McLeod I could fix this problem by using a thicker shim...but, well, supposedly that's not necessary with the SPEC. David at SPEC had nothing more to offer. Other than poor engagement, and an install nightmare, the performance of the SPEC has worked for me.
I just want an inexpensive perfect solution that works the first time with my current hardware
