wierd issue
wierd issue i came back from a fast pace street ride. i pulled back into my driveway with the clutch in and reved the engine and the car made a grinding noise. i let the clutch out and engaged it again and no grinding.now it goes into reverse much easier than it did. did i break something on the driveline

i have had almost the same thing happen to me. when the car was in gear and i was reving it ( with clutch pedal pushed in) it would make a grinding noise but would still drive and shift like normal through the gears. i found it was a bad pilot bearing.

Just about every M6 that I have driven has some sort of throw out bearing noise. Some are not that loud and some like mine on my 95 are pretty damn loud, especially when sitting at the drive through. As long as it shifts good and there are no other obvious problems, I would not worry to much about it.
