Default Master cylinder pressure!!!

This is the second time i have this problem with the Raybestos master cylinder. i swapped my master for a raybestos and i cant get any pressure from the peddel. i returned the first one thinkin it was defective, the new one wont bleed so i put the stock one in and it bled pretty well. do i need a GM master or does it matter. I followed InstallUniv. directions but without the slave i just push in the bottom of the line. Has anyone else encoutered this problem am i bleeding it right?? i must have bled it 30 times. thanx

If the master is not bench bled properly , you can pump on that thing all day and never get it right once its in the car.
A good Bench bleed will fix that if the master is not defective.

Side note.
Raybestos Master cylinder?????????
Didnt' know they made a master for our cars.

Can you pls explain bench bleeding? Is it without slave cylinder? Is there an official procedure?

Thanks

It can be done in the car but its tough and takes two people
But outside of the car you mount the Master in a Vise.
You need to keep the Resevour up and full.
Now you need a Nail or something like that .
Hold up the Line that goes to the slave in one hand.
Place the nail in the end of the hose and push on it. You can see how it pushes in a little.
Now with the Hose in one hand , with the nail in the end and your thrumb on the other end of the Nail you need to push in the Nail and then push the Clutch rod all the way in with your other hand.
Before letting up on the Clutch rod you need to let go of the nail and put your thumb over the end of the hose, so it won't suck any air.
it should take more than 4 or 5 tries like this to get all the air out.
Before you try to put it back in the car you need to fill the resevoir all the way up and put the rubber peice in and tighten the lid.
This will keep any air from gettin into the system.
its a pain in a *** but it will fix the problem.
after you get it installed in the car again. Then you bleed out the Slave the way you were.
push on the pedal while someone Cracks the bleeder valve.
Just make sure the valve is shut before you lift the Clutch pedal.
