C5 Trans gear grinding Problem Is 2,3,4 on the same cluster? The issue is the shifter has trouble pulling into 2nd then grinds, Shifts into 3rd is easy but grinds and 4th is like 3rd. Up and down shifts are the same. 1st, 5th, and 6th are OK. My GUESS is the shift fork is bad and the sinkro is out for one of the clusters. We took the shifter apart and checked the adjustment and it was OK. Am I close? Are these hard to rebuild? I am going to do a search on getting it out.
