Default PRO 5.0 shifter problem

I installed the pro 5.0 and the angled short stick from speed inc. Has anyone who has done this notice it move the shifter location closer to the passenger making 5th and reverse tight? Despite the stick being angled towards the driver the base just seems to be off to the right.

Any thoughts?

When you attached the new stick to the shifter itself, did you make sure to bolt the stick on the LEFT, drivers side, of the shifter? I looks like it belongs on the right side, because it's milled more there, and that's where the stock stick was attached. But, the stock stick has that weird bend in it, giving clearance for reverse. All you have to do is take the boot off, re-attach the stick to the left side of the shifter, and you'll be fine.

Could have the shifter mounted mounted upside-down too. it's easy enough to do. best I remember, it looks like it mounts oppsosite of the way it should.

Yea i have the stick on the drivers side. Also, i agree it looks like its upside down when installed right? So I think the PRO Tower etching was upside down towards the front when installed.

Thats the way I remember it, but I dunno if it is possible to install it incorrectly.

So everybody else has their pro 5.0 sitting dead center of the shift boot?

Yup! dead center. However, I just shortened the Pro 5.0 stick. Just as short as any other. Saved the money too.
