t56 questions.

i bought a 2002 ls1 t56. im going to be mating it with a zz383 crate engine from gm. now and im going to be dropping it into my 92 camaro. now the imput shaft is longer in the ls1 version then the lt1 version. is it posible to swap imput shafts?

it'd prolly be cheaper/easier to sell this tranny and buy an lt1 tranny....... but yes you can swap the shafts

you can machine an adapter piece that fits between the motro and bell housing and it will allow you to use the ls1 tranny

you would have been better off with an lt1 tranny because of all the lt1 stuff would bolt right up like flywheel, any lt1 clutch and the slave is external. with the ls1 T56 you are gonna have to use shims and get an adpter like what was said above. but i understand that you are gonna use what you got. i am the same way.
