Default Adjusting the Mcleod Master Cylinder

When adjusting the master cylinder rod, is there a wrong and right way of adjustment? Turn is clock wise bring the engagement closer to the floor or farther? Will a wrong adjustment have any adverise affects on the clutch? I have mine installed and what i bitch to get the master in the car. Right now it have a high engagement. Good or Bad? Where is the right engagement? Or it that a personal preference.

Thanks

Bring it down to engage closer to the floor 1-1/2" and you'll be all set. You may experience some chatter and hard shifting with it up near the top.

So which direction to get the engagement closer to the floor? Clockwise or counter.
