Hi guys, I'm new around here. I have a 6 speed and an LS1 from a 2000 Firehawk. All 100% OEM.

I always thought the trans. was a T-56. Is this correct? Is it made by Borg-Warner?

I guess the main question is: Which trans do I have?

I tried searching the board but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Tremec bought the Borg-Warner T56 transmission rights in '98. All Fcars with 6 speeds(v8 C-F4s) had the T56.
